Becker Farm

$285.00$1,185.00

Francis Arnold Becker was born in Strasserhof, Prussia in 1807. He emigrated to America in 1832, and arrived in St Louis in 1833. Heading west he settled on his land grant farm on the mouth of Tavern Creek, St Albans, Missouri. Becker was a carpenter by trade and in 1840, he built his house above flood stage next to Tavern Creek where steamboats made regular stops for cordwood. A barn was built that later became the Old Barn Inn.
